The drawings that made me cry
After our discussions with Rama, they produced the most incredible design, it made me tear up. I was so happy. We made a couple of small tweaks, and it was perfect.
Mike was happy too; Rama have used the idea of three pavilions all connected with under cover walkways. You can imagine the side eye I got from Mike when we were shown the drawings. It is what he suggested to me from the beginning, and I was not keen.
This is Pavilion One
A kitchen with a walk-in pantry was a must, nothing makes me happier than cooking for friends and family.
One end we have the loungeroom and the opposite end is what I call Mike’s Cigar room with a fireplace.
2 x 8 metre doors on either side and the ceiling are six metres high. All our windows are double hung.
We did not want a dining room; we have never used it in the past and always became a dumping ground. So, we have an undercover entertaining deck with a 3-metre-long farm table. A BBQ area at one end with a built-in daybed with storage at the other end.
The stairs lead down to the pool with a cabana on the other side.
Entertaining is going to be so much fun.
Let the building begin.
